Brewed Awakenings in Hingham

I really enjoy this place. I also really like it is not a big franchise. The only real issue is it can be crowded, and sometimes no where to sit. It is mostly clean but usually after a busy spurt, the tables and floors need to be cleaned. Especially after parents come with their kids...... it seems to be okay if their kids make a mess because it's not their home! So, if you find a quiet time to come after "parents with their little angels" finish wrecking the serenity and quiet quaintness, I would definitely recommend this place.

Coffee and a sandwich was a good combo

I keep trying to give this place a chance but I've had the same poor experience each visit. Each time the baristas are unfriendly/unwelcoming. I really did feel like I was inconveniencing them by being there. I ordered a small hot latte to go and it was room temperature. Each time I've visited it's been extremely filthy. Messy floors, tables, sugar and cream section, and unsanitary restrooms. As a corner, beautifully-lit cafe with room for seating, it has so much potential to be a cozy little cafe, but instead it's very sparse and dirty. I will be stopping at other surrounding businesses in the future next time I need a pick-me-up in Hingham.

Worst coffee I've had in a long time. Bitter and sour.

I've been here 3 times and will never go back again. All 3 times I left there feeling very annoyed. People who work there are rude and snobby. The prices are very expensive ($11.50) for a sandwich. Really surprised this place is even in business

The prices are average for higher end coffee shops. The food is good, maybe too good for my waistline. The coffee is good as well. The place is clean. The staff is great. I went in to ask if it was ok to have a networking meeting there and they were very accommodating. There was not a hint of being out out and very helpful with time and day to have the meeting.

Good bakery items and coffee.

Pretty chill cafe, the cashiers are either really nice or kind of cold. Tea and sandwiches are great though.

My daughter has been raving about their coffee for a while now so today I stopped in for one. WOW this coffee is amazing and although I didn’t have any pastries, my mouth was watering looking at what they had to offer. Definitely check this place out. Also very cozy if you wanted to sit and chill for a minute.

Great location, products, and atmosphere. The staff is what brings the rating down. Almost every time I’m here I feel rushed and almost like I am inconveniencing the staff by ordering.

The food and drinks are good but the employees are not that attentive. More intrested in each other and their phones then customers

Went in to Brewed Awakenings for the first time for dinner tonight and I thought the food that I had was out standing and I would go again

Great food. Moderate prices. Great for a large gathering.

If the hours say open until ten on a Friday night then I expect it to be open when I arrive before ten. Truly aggrevating when traveling a distance. Lights on...tons of great looking pastries....I would have easily spent thirty bucks or so here, but now who knows if I'll try and make it back.

Second time here; second time they got my sandwich order wrong.That was not the worst part however. In addition to sandwiches, which took forever and were not prepared as ordered, we got several baked goods. They looked amazing in the case. My boyfriend got a brownie and I got a blondie. We each took one small bite of our respective treats and nearly spit them out. We both had exactly the same reaction. The brownie and blondie both tasted like they had been sitting in a refridgerator for about a month, soaking up the aromas of everything else they were in there with. It was disgusting, and if we had been at or near the shop when we tasted them, we would have brought them back. Huge waste of money and I will not be going back.

Great pastries and baked goods. Espresso drinks aren't the best but good local spot.

Got my breakfast sandwich cold and cheese not melted. Asked kindly to several people to remake it. And was given a hard time about it. Finally after the 3rd person asking they remade a better sandwich.

Great place for coffee or tea and a treat. I like to go before hitting Loring Hall Patriot Cinemas. Friendly staff. Delicious baked goods. Free wifi. Cozy.

Great coffee, scones and pastries. Unique sandwich combos......BUT tables were filthy, floors covered in crumbs and pieces of food. Chair seats are all stained. Needs an update on furniture. Would appreciate bacterial wipes available to sanitize tables. It would a GREAT spot in Hingham square if they were mindful of cleanliness. I will try again next week to see if they look at their ratings

Coffee is mediocre at best. They can certainly source better beans. Bagels are not bagels. Ambience is nice and is charming.

Really lovely staff here, a very warm relaxed atmosphere, nice views of Main Street out the window too as you sip your drink.

Their coffee is good, you add your own cream and sugar. I got a chocolate cupcake which looked fantastic! I cut it open and to my dismay there was a hair baked into it. 😥 Made me very disgusted...the end!

Dissapointed. Couldn't even try it. Espresso machine shut down over an hour before closing

Brewed Awakenings is a reliable dessert, coffee and breakfast destination downtown. Most of the fare can be found in other establishments with slightly higher quality though which is the reason four four stars. There is a good amount of seating so it can be a nice meeting place, the sound levels remain manageable. The staff have always been kind and courteous, this will always be a cause for return.

I go in a couple times per week for my Strudel. I love their Strudel. The Staff is always friendly and interactive.

Great coffee shop with a great selection of coffees, sandwiches and pastries. Located right in the center of Hingham.

Food is incredible. Coffee is incredible. I highly recommend a cafe mocha with a bagel with cream cream. I really wish it was open 24 hours right now.

Awesome sandwiches, desert treats and lovely high celling, large windows all around ambience. Very competent, friendly and sweet employees.

After searching for months, I was able to find a privately owned coffee shop that offers plenty of seating and complimentary WiFi. There are tons of coffee flavors and styles to choose from as well as tea options for others. This establishment also offers pastries and lunch options. I have it four stars because there is no guaranteed parking (public lot with 2 hour limit) and it can get very noisy with kids.

The Corner Cafe / Coffee Shop You Have Been Looking For! They have excellent coffee, a huge assortment of pastries, breakfast sandwiches and a quant seating area to sit back and enjoy them all. Free wifi and windows to downtown Hingham for some people watching.

Love this place!

Its a go to spot for me for an evening beverage. The staff seemed in disarray and thus was borderline rude. I understood so it was brushed off. As for the rest of my time there, I'll say that I enjoyed my drink and my date turned out to be an absolute angel so I give my experience at brewed the highest rating possible.

Great coffee! Better than Starbucks, in my opinion. Seating for catching up with friends, being alone with your laptop (free wifi) or with your newspaper. Local shop in Hingham Square with good beverage selection and various baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, soups and lunch offerings.
